We are extremely excited to be organizing this year’s event and hope everyone enjoys yet another memorable gathering of friends and fellow MR2 enthusiasts. Last year we had well over 75+ MR2s attend and are expecting to have an even larger turnout this year. So please, join us once again to end this year with one of the best MR2 experiences in the Northeast.
The Bear Mountain meet is an event that was started by Joe Pearlstein in the 90’s. Since his passing has become a memorial event to honor Joe. Joe was keen on spirited driving, enjoying the fall foliage, and photography.
Because it is the largest MR2 meet of the North East. Expect to see over 75 MR2’s!!!
The Bear Mountain meet is a mix of a car show and a scenic drive. We meet at the Sheraton Crossroads in NJ and drive up through Tuxedo, Harmin State Park through some very scenic back roads all the way up to West Point, NY. We then take a break for Lunch as well as have a Show & Shine event that is judged by the owners! There is also a prize ceremony held after the judging has commenced. At this point we look around upstate NY through some more scenic roads and make our way to the top of Bear Mountain. We will watch the sun set here and then head to our final destination for dinner back near the Sheraton Crossroads
Anyone who is in an MR2 or Celica Alltrac! All participants must be in an MR2 or Alltrac for the cruise. We will not allow other platforms to caravan with us. This will be STRICTLY enforced. With 75+ cars, it becomes very difficult to organize various platforms.
NOTHING! Not including the purchase price of your MR2 or Celica Alltrac.
Be ready to go at the Sheraton at 9:00am!
The address is 1 International Boulevard, Mahwah, NJ
Bring a full tank of gas and a mechanically sound MR2 or Alltrac. We don’t want any breakdowns so please make sure your vehicle is up to par. You will also need money for breakfast and lunch or you may bring food from home. West point has some great places to eat and will be with in walking distance of our meeting location.
Please note that the Bear Mountain Run is conducted on public streets. All local traffic laws must be followed. The JPBMMR’09 Staff does not take responsibility nor is liable for any and all motor-vehicle incidences. This is a Rally, not a Race; please drive carefully
